Upon completing the demo of Castle Crashers, I knew of only one word to describe this game...addictive.  I immediately downloaded the full version and have spent hours on it since.

Castle Crashers, for those who aren't familiar, is a side scrolling game that would be best described as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the arcade game with a hint of RPG in it and a level select map similar to those in older Mario games.  Players would assume the role of an elemental based knight (fire, ice, electricity, or poison) and go through a quest of decent length to rescue four princesses from the clutches of evil.  Sounds like a simple plot right?  For medieval knights they sure encounter some interesting people and places like aliens, mutant bears, and even a factory reminisant of the industrial revolution.

Castle Crashers is made by the same people who did Alien Hominid, so the graphics and artwork should be familiar.  There is also an appearance by those cute little bloodthirsty aliens.

Castle Crashers gets a 9 out of 10 for utilizing familar methods of gameplay while keeping the game fresh.  A plethora of secrets and unlockable characters combined with "not too easy not too hard" achievements also adds to the fun and replayability of the game.
